At least, that's what I told my admin I was doing when I left work in the middle of the day to go bomb around some twisties that are oh-so-conveniently close to my office. I did go get some lunch after that. So I was still technically telling the truth.
Also, I played around with the "dynamic" traction control mode on my car. You press the DSC Off button once, which disables stability control and raises the point at which traction control intervenes. That combined with the eLSD (BMW's brake-based torque vectoring) mostly makes up for the fact that the car has an open diff. I still managed to light up the inside rear tire exiting one tight 2nd gear corner.
Now I'm enjoying a delicious double butter burger from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Summertime in Wisconsin is pretty great.

I wonder if an LSD is a dealer installed option like it is on the 235i.

I've eaten at Whataburger and In-N-Out.
Culver's is better.

Nope, that's a new item on the M235i. The M Performance parts for the 135i are:
Performance Power Kits (PPK 1 = ECU reflash; PPK 2 = flash + oil cooler)
Lowering springs
Exhaust
Drilled/slotted front brake rotors
Carbon fiber lip spoilers & other trim
Shift knobs and pedal kits
Stripe decals
A couple different steering wheels including this goofy one with shift lights and stuff
The 135is comes standard with the PPK 2 and the exhaust.

Well that's interesting.
You should get a 1 Series M.

I'll go do that. Got $60k you can spare?

No. If I did, I'd have one.

Culver's really is the platonic ideal of what a fast food burger should be.
I also like Five Guys but their burgers are almost a little too big and messy to get very often. Their fries are awesome though.

The fries are very good.
But, cheese curds > fries.

Oh, I love cheese curds. Culver's are...ok. But I'm spoiled by all the places around here that get fresh curds and batter them up to order.
I also kinda feel like going for the curds with the double butter burger is a little too much gluttony for a weekday lunch.

Nothing wrong with gluttony.

I'm just curious, does the 1 Series have the 2 stage DSC/traction control?

One word:
Quaife

yep - and it's the first button I push (full 3seconds) after the engine catches.

Yeah, pretty much.
If you press and hold the DSC OFF button for 3 seconds, it completely disables both stability and traction control. The dash looks like this:
If you just press the DSC OFF button but don't hold it, you get Dynamic Traction Control. Stability control is disabled and traction control allows some wheelspin. The dash looks like this:
I don't know about which is faster on a track, but I like the dynamic traction control mode for back road hooning. Allows some fun while giving a little help staying out of trouble.

Near office twisties are some of the best. Today I was told I had to move classrooms 2 days before the semester starts. I was all upset until I took a 20 minute drive. Then the world was good.

Jealous of your convenient twisties (and the burger).
